At Springdale, we are a community of believers who seek to love God and love people. We have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith. For years, this church has been helping spread God's good news here in Burlington, and we pray that God will continue to use our congregation. Whether you've been attending church for years or haven't stepped into a church in decades, we hope you'll come and join us Sunday if you're looking for a church in our hometown.
Springdale is a church with a rich and long-standing connection to the community. It started back in 1863 on the prayers and faith of a young slave by the name of Sam Holt. Then, it was no more than a tiny log cabin – “Uncle Sam’s Meeting House” – where other slaves in the community could gather and praise God. Now, several generations later, that seed of faith has blossomed into a vibrant multi-generational center of worship and ministry where we continue to serve as a beacon of hope and light in the community.
Our ministry is comprised of believers who fervently study, learn, and nurture their Faith. Our prayer is to become more effective and caring Christian servants and to offer meaningful worship experiences for all who enter our doors and be effective witnesses to those who may be lost.
We didn’t all come from a perfect Christian home. We represent different views, backgrounds and life experiences...It is the Word of God that unites us as ONE! Together, we grow, worship, serve, laugh, cry, learn, and reach out to the world with life-transforming truth.
So if you’ve been burned in the past by religion, or have made mistakes, or haven’t been to a church in years (or ever) we invite you to join us. Don't let your past keep you from making a life-changing decision. You matter to us, but more importantly, your soul matters to Christ! Our services begin at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday.
Want to Connect with Springdale?
There are many ways you and your family can become a part of Springdale’s vibrant Christian fellowship.
Join us during any of our teaching and worshipping experiences. Following most services, an invitation will be extended to anyone who desires to receive salvation, request prayer or become a part of the Springdale church family. If you choose, you can accept the invitation by going to the front of the church.
Feeling a little shy? No worries. There is a Connection Card located in the back of the pews. Complete the card and turn it into one of the greeters or to the pastor and one of our church leaders will follow up with you. The Connection Card is available here on our website as well.
